NAME: JEVS’s Project WOW (World of Work)
WHAT: Learn building weatherization, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills. Plus, receive support in earning high school diploma.
WHERE: Philadelphia, PA
PROGRAM/CLASSES: Parcipants learn basic training in building trades/property maintenance (such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical and weatherization).
TIME COMMITMENT: 5 days a week for 22 weeks
COST: Free!
REQUIREMENTS: For students ages 18 – 24 who have not completed high school in Philadelphia.
NOTE: Program provides a monthly transportation allowance and paid OSHA certifications.
