NAME: Philabundance PCK Program

WHAT: Culinary Arts Training.

WHERE: 3616 South Galloway Street, Philadelphia, PA 19148

PROGRAM/CLASSES: Learn entry-level, hands-on and classroom-based culinary and kitchen operations, including safe food handling, knife skills, meat and poultry fabrication, cooking methods and recipe development.

TIME COMMITMENT: M – F 7:45am – 3:30pm for 16 weeks

COST: Free!

REQUIREMENTS:  18 years old or older and qualify as low income; pass 6th grade math & reading assessments, test negative for tuberculosis & negative covid test

NOTE: PCK provides students with a uniform, materials, books, computer/internet access (at the school) and life/employment coaching services during and after graduation. PCK staff also assists in obtaining successful employment following graduation for up to two years. Open houses in December!

Custom T-Shirt Production Assistant

Are you a creative person? Are you interested in fabrics, embroidery and digital printing? If you’ve got a diploma, you’ve got options. Apliiq’s production assistant position provides entry-level paid training.

NAME:  Apliiq’s Production Assistant position

WHAT: Learn apparel production, embroidery, and digital printing.

WHERE: 4560 Germantown Ave, Phila, PA

PROGRAM/CLASSES: Learn how to start a brand, how to operate top of the line printing equipment, how to operate embroidery and sewing machines, & quality assurance.

TIME COMMITMENT: 7am to 3:30 pm M – F

COST: Free! Entry-level paid training; starting wage of $12.50 per hr increasing up to $20 per hr depending on work performance.

REQUIREMENTS:  High school diploma
