NAME: Amazon’s Mechatronics & Robotics Apprenticeship

WHAT: Learn technical skills in industrial electricity, mechanical components, fluid power, and programmable logic controllers. Apprentices receive a total of eight certifications across these skills. Apprentices also receive extensive mentoring, leadership, and networking opportunities. 

WHERE:  Georgia, Indiana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas

PROGRAM/CLASSES: Combination of classroom and on-the-job training.

TIME COMMITMENT:  12 weeks of in classroom learning, 2000 apprenticeship hours

COST:  Free, paid training provided as part of employment. Room and board also provided for free.

REQUIREMENTS:  Amazon employee. Interested in robotics. High school diploma.

WHAT: Learn fundamentals of home electronics systems, home theater technologies, media technologies, customer service & communication skills.

PROGRAM/CLASSES: Combination of online and on-the-job training.

TIME COMMITMENT:  Approximately 5 months.

COST:  Free, paid training provided as part of employment.

REQUIREMENTS:  High school diploma. 18 yrs old and older. Background check and drug-free at all times. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must also complete several assessments and interviews.

PPPL’s Network/Telecommunications Apprenticeship

NAME: PPPL’s Network/Telecommunications Apprenticeship

WHAT: Learn how to install network/telecommunications systems.

WHERE:  Princeton, NJ

PROGRAM/CLASSES: 6000 hours of instruction, including how to install copper wiring & fiber optics, how to install telecommunications systems, fundamentals of computer networks, how to troubleshoot network connectivity issues, how to troubleshoot communications issues and more!

TIME COMMITMENT:  4 years

COST: Free!

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma, motivated, ready to learn and be challenged, ability to lift 50 lbs.
