NAME: FLEETEC Academy’s Truck Maintenance Program

WHAT: Receive a paid education on fundamentals of Semi-Trailer service, and how to fix Semi-Trailers along with a set of hand tools and a toolbox to house them all.

WHERE: Students are flown to Indianapolis, IN or Phoenix, AZ for a 5 week training program. Travel expenses are paid by the academy, along with hotel accommodations and stipend for meals, plus a bi-weekly paycheck.

PROGRAM/CLASSES: Formal training program designed to teach truck maintenance and repair skills from the ground up.

TIME COMMITMENT: 5 week training program

COST: Free! Paid, on the job training.

REQUIREMENTS: Technical aptitude and a passion for fixing trailers, ages 21 & up, High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, background checks, driving records checks, pre-employment drug testing and physical.

Mechanic Technician Apprentice

NAME: Eastern Lift Truck Co. Mechanic Technician Apprentice

WHAT: Learn the the mechanics of material handling equipment maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.

WHERE: Opportunities available in PA, NJ, MD, DE, & NY.

PROGRAM/CLASSES: Formal training program: they will mentor and train you on everything from how to maintain all safety standards to how to interact with customers.

TIME COMMITMENT: 6 – 9 month training program Classroom modules & hands-on training.

COST: Free! Paid, on the job training.

REQUIREMENTS: Mechanically inclined with some formal training strongly desired, positive attitude, good work ethic, clean driving record, ability to lift 50 lbs, & references from previous employers.

Congreso CDL-A-Trucking Program

A high school diploma is all you need to get started for many fulfilling careers. Do you like to drive? Have dreams of traveling and seeing new parts of the country? A career in trucking may be for you!

NAME: Congreso CDL-A-Trucking Program

WHAT: Train to become a CDL truck driver.

WHERE:  216 West Somerset St., Philadelphia, PA 19133

PROGRAM/CLASSES: Train to become a professional tractor trailer truck driver. 1 week of permit classes, 5 weeks of training, & 2 weeks of job readiness training

TIME COMMITMENT: Approximately 8 weeks.

COST: Free! Paid by Congreso.

REQUIREMENTS:  For individuals ages 21 & up. Must be able to speak English & pass a medical and drug test, and complete a criminal background check. No suspension or points on your driver’s license.

NOTE:  Due to Covid restrictions, Congreso is currently holding smaller classes with only 4 – 6 clients.
