NAME:  Worth Iron Company Apprenticeship

WHAT: Learn how to create custom rails, gates, window guards, security doors, etc.

WHERE:  NorthWales, PA

PROGRAM/CLASSES: Apprentices will learn painting & metal working skills.

TIME COMMITMENT:  Students will begin with a 1-day working interview to see if this position is a good fit, making $12 per hr. If it is a good fit, apprentices will work 6 months to a year based on experience and skill level, and can eventually become a full-time employee. Please contact Worth Iron to discuss.

COST: Competitive and negotiable salary based on skills and experience starting at $12 per hr.

REQUIREMENTS:  Must be 18+ and have valid driver’s license.

FTI’s Painter, Wallcoverer Free Apprenticeship

A high school diploma is all you need to get started for many fulfilling careers. Do you like to paint? Do you like creating beauty? Take advantage of FTI’s free apprenticeship!

NAME: FTI’s Painter/Wallcoverer Apprenticeship

WHAT: Learn to apply paint, lacquer, and wallpaper to a variety of surfaces.

WHERE:  2190 Hornig Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116

PROGRAM/CLASSES: 160 hrs per year of classroom instruction

TIME COMMITMENT: 4 years of paid, on the job training

COST: Free apprenticeship and get paid while you are training! Pay only for tools, work gear, & supplies. (approx $300 per year)

REQUIREMENTS:  For individuals ages 18 & up. Must have adequate transportation. Must be able to pass a drug test & be physically fit for the job.
